Our Story

​

'Olumis' is chosen as the name of my Etsy shop when I first started my fabric & handmade business. It is derived from my mother's native language (Kadazan-Dusun) means beautiful, pretty and lovely.

 

I have made a total 360 degree turn in my career life from being an engineer in Oil & Gas field to a full time mother and house wife.

I use my "me" time making lovely handmade items for my daughter and make the most of it with passion and joy. Then I gradually begin to curate kids fabric everywhere when I travel, sew and meet new people. It has become my most favourite thing to helping sewists out there to get fun & funky fabric for their sewing projects.
